Introduction to Economic Theories

Economics

Platform: Coursera, Erasmus University Rotterdam

Level: Beginner

This lecture series teaches economics from a pluralist perspective. Pluralism in economics is a movement that encourages more openness in its approaches, subjects, and standpoints. This course may therefore be very interesting and different even for those people who already have some knowledge in the economics field. The course takes roughly 42 hours to complete, but is really worth it as over the course of four weeks, you will be introduced to the following four theories:

  1. Social Economics
  2. Institutional Economics
  3. Post Keynesian Economics
  4. Neoclassical Economics

By Lilly

Hi everyone! My name is Lilly and I am a high school student based in Germany, where I am currently enrolled in the IB diploma programme. Aside from founding EconIR WEB, I am also the President of JEC Berlin. Being a student who has a deep interest and passion for economics and international relations myself, I know how challenging it can be to find ways to engage with your areas of interest. Therefore, I created EconIR WEB. I hope that through EconIR WEB we will be able to build a strong community of students who share the same passion. Cant wait for you to join!
