Hearing of Gunman in New Zealand
The hearing of the Australian Brenton Tarrant began on Monday. He had killed 51 people and wounded 40 people at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand, last year. Brenton Tarrant had already pleaded guilty to murder and attempted murder and terrorism. On Thursday he was then sentenced to life in prison with no eligibility for release by the judges. The sentence is the harshest sentence in New Zealand.
